ATJ Action Fund will provide PPE and substantial health and safety training. This role will require working outside and following the canvassing protocols that will allow us to keep ourselves and everyone else in our communities safe.

The Field Manager will:
Manage a team of 30 canvassers in your assigned region.
Lead door-to-door canvassing shifts (Weekdays including weekends)
Ensure canvassers are entering data accurately and in a timely manner
Help recruit canvassers in your assigned region
Hold the canvassing team accountable for hitting assigned goals and metrics
Provide ongoing motivation and support to canvassers
Establish and maintain relationships with the local AAPI community
Submit MiniVan data and daily reports in a timely manner

At least 1 prior cycle of field management or paid canvasser management
Ability to work during the week, including weekends
A valid driver’s license and reliable motor vehicle
Must have access to a cell phone and a laptop or computer with reliable internet access
Experience working with MiniVAN
Strong oral and written communication and time management skills
Attention to detail
Deeply passionate about equity and social justice, particularly for AAPIs and other marginalized groups

Bi-lingual or Multi-lingual
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
Enthusiasm for building meaningful relationships in the communities we’re canvassing
Goals-oriented and self-disciplined; able to meet tight deadlines and multitask
Experience leading a team to hit goals consistently
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing work environment

Canvasser

The Field Canvasser is a part-time cycle position that is responsible for completing in-person canvassing to help GOTV (Get Out The Vote) to AAPI communities across your assigned region (Austin TX or Dallas-Fort Worth TX).

ATJAF canvassers will:
Prior to start of employment, all applicants are required to attend virtual training(s) sessions as outlined by the Field Manager.
Work with a team of ATJAF canvassers to meet goals and GOTV for AAPI community members
Complete door-to-door canvassing shifts during the week including weekends
Complete accurate and timely data entry
Provide reliable and trustworthy information to individuals while canvassing
Submit data and shift reports in a timely manner

Adults, aged 18+
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work on weekends (Sat & Sun)
A valid driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportation
Must have access to a cell phone, or tablet with reliable internet access
Ability to learn how to use MiniVAN
Attention to detail
